A Hopper window is the perfect companion to the Tilt Turn. Hopper windows open inward from the top. It can be a smart solution for adding ventilation or light in a lower level or in combination with a non-operating window. They’re an ideal choice for basements, garages and attics. Best feature of the hopper is the space saving tilt function.

Reduce Humidity

Hopper windows are excellent at reducing humidity in areas of your home like basements and bathrooms. Even though the windows are small in size, they work very well for ventilation. Simply opening a hopper window before taking a shower is enough to let most of the moisture outside and to keep the bathroom from steaming up. Adding a few hopper windows to your basement and opening them every few days can get rid of moldy and musty smells and keep objects in the basement from becoming too damp.

Tilt and turn windows, as its name implies, have dual function handle allowing window to "tilt" inward (position C) for ventilation, and "turn" (position D) for easy cleaning. The turn design works excellent as an escape point in case of emergency.

Minimal Maintenance

The new and pristine look of U-PVC is simply maintained by occasional cleaning and with a mild soap or detergent or soapy water. U-PVC frames are constructed of weather proof vinyl material that does not require painting or staining. All hardware, gaskets, weather-striping and glazing can be easily replaced without removing the frame from the structure. Tilt & turn window and door hardware may only need occasional lubrication.

Durability

U-PVC frames will not rust or corrode. They will not split, warp, twist or deform from extreme summer heat or cold. U-PVC is treated with special additives making the material extremely tough and durable. We refer to this as ‘Impact Modified’.

Combustion Resistant

U-PVC window frames are self extinguishing and will only burn when subjected to an external heat source. Fire testing research showed that U-PVC windows do not exhibit any aspects of combustion that could create additional hazards involving structure fires.

How To Measure Your Windows

To ensure the correct measurement of windows, measure your windows by width first. Measure first at the top, then the middle and finally the bottom. Be sure to measure from the surface of the jambs, and not from the trim strips. Use the smallest of these three measurements when ordering your window.

After measuring the width, measure the height in a similar fashion, starting with the top, then the middle and then the bottom. Again use the smallest measurement of the three. Remember, though, costly mistakes can happen if you are even off by a few centimeters.

INSTALLATION BRACKETS ARE IN STOCK FOR AN ADDITIONAL COST

Windows do not come with screens and they are excluded from the price. Once the windows are purchased and installed, then you open the window and measure from seal to seal.
